Niagara Earns 1-0 Win Over St. Bonaventure

NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. – Senior transfer Maddie Crosbie made nine saves and Isabella Mazzaferro scored the game-winner as Niagara won its fourth game in a row by a 1-0 score over visiting St. Bonaventure Sunday afternoon in non-conference action.

How it Happened
Niagara goalkeeper, Maddie Crosbie, made five saves in the first and half while her counterpart, Jael Schubert made one, which came in the opening minute.

The game would remain tied through the second half, with Bona creating multiple opportunities while leading in possession. In the 70th minute, the Bonnies would get a premiere chance as on a penalty kick, but Crosbie guessed right to make the initial save, then again on a rebound chance right on the goal line.

Just over 10-minutes later, Niagara would change the field as Raelyn Stranc sent a ball forward to Emma Bough who swung it across the field to an unmarked Mazzaferro for her fourth goal of the season.

The Purple and White would hold strong over the final 10-minutes, securing their fourth win in a row.
