Ramirez Fans Six In Loss To Rider

Lawrenceville, N.J.—The Niagara baseball team fell 4-0 to the Rider Broncs to open its weekend road series.

How it Happened

The Purple Eagles threatened to open the scoring in the top of the first inning as Nick Groves singled on the second pitch of the game. He moved up to second as Brady Desjardins singled to put a pair of runners on with no outs in the first. Both runners moved into scoring position after a groundout but could not come home.

Rider opened the scoring in the bottom of the third inning as they hit a one out solo homer to take a 1-0 lead.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, Rider scored a pair of runs on two hits and a Niagara error to take a 3-0 lead.

Niagara got a runner to third base in the seventh inning as Nick Monile singled, stole second, and advanced to third on an error. Monile was stranded, however.

Rider took a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the eighth as they scored on a wild pitch with two outs.
