Bulls Overwhelm Niagara

NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y.  — Talia Dial scored a team-high 17 points but Niagara fell to Buffalo 86-53 on Tuesday night, extending their winless start to the season.

How it Happened
The Purple Eagles (0-5) struggled to find their rhythm offensively, shooting just 39.2 percent from the field despite hitting 10 three-pointers. After falling behind early, Niagara was unable to recover as Buffalo (6-0) steadily built their lead throughout the game.

Caliana Fenceroy added 12 points for Niagara, while Safiatu Kolliegbo contributed six points and six rebounds. The Purple Eagles had difficulty containing Buffalo's balanced attack, which featured four players scoring in double figures led by Terah Harness with 23 points.

Buffalo dominated inside, outscoring Niagara 44-18 in the paint and holding a significant 50-22 rebounding advantage. The Bulls also capitalized on 25 Niagara turnovers, converting them into 27 points.

After trailing 39-25 at halftime, Niagara was unable to make up ground in the second half as Buffalo's lead grew to as many as 39 points.

Niagara Notes
• Niagara moves to 19-23 all-time against the Bulls.
• Buffalo extends its win streak over Niagara to six consecutive games.
• Dial made five 3-pointers matching her season-high set at Penn State earlier this month.
• Niagara made a season-high 10 3-pointers.
• UB's 17 turnovers is just the second time a Niagara opponent has turned the ball over less than 20 times in a game this season.
Marlie Dickerson led Niagara with four assists.
