POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y.—
Kinga Wronska recorded 13 kills with a .276 hitting percentage as Niagara volleyball defeated Marist 3-1 (23-25, 25-20, 25-20, 25-14) Sunday afternoon at the McCann Arena.
How it Happened
Janiah Robinson contributed eight kills while hitting .500 for the Purple Eagles (15-14, 11-7), who won their second straight match, while
Laryssa Imbuzeiro posted a team-best .600 hitting percentage with six kills.
After dropping a tight first set, Niagara dominated the final three frames, including a commanding fourth set where they hit .448 as a team. The Purple Eagles' defense was particularly strong, recording 20 total blocks compared to Marist's two.
Paisley Ka'ahanui directed the offense with 29 assists while adding four service aces.
Bella Peroni anchored the back row with 18 digs for Niagara.
Sarah Bumstead led Marist (3-25, 3-15) with 13 kills in the losing effort.

• Niagara improves to 30-23 all-time against Marist, including 3-1 in the last four.
• The 2024 season marked the first time NU swept the season series with Marist since 2017.
• Imbuzeiro recorded a career-high 11 blocks in the win, while Peyton Lee matched her career-high with six.
• Ka'ahanui finished with a career-best four aces.
• As a team, Niagara tallied a season-high 20 blocks.
