Niagara Picked Eighth in MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – Niagara men's basketball has been projected to finish eighth based on a vote by the leagues 13 head coaches, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced on Tuesday, Oct. 8, in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll.
 
The Purple Eagles are entering year six under head coach Greg Paulus and are one of six programs in the country to have zero returning minutes for the 2023-24 season.
 
The 2024-25 Niagara men's basketball program will be comprised of 13 newcomers, including 10 transfers and three true freshmen.
 
The season will tip-off inside the Gallagher Center on Monday, Nov. 4 at 6:30 p.m. as NU hosts Houghton. League play will begin on Friday, Dec. 6 when Niagara hosts Siena at 6:30 p.m.
 
Quinnipiac was picked to finish atop the league standings in 2024-25, receiving 166 points, including 11 first place votes. Marist and Fairfield also received first place votes.
