NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. - Niagara's defense forced 65 turnovers as the Purple Eagles rolled to an 82-41 victory over Roberts Wesleyan in their exhibition Wednesday night at the Gallagher Center.

LaKeeyah Barnes and Lore Porter led a balanced scoring attack for Niagara with 12 points apiece, while Marlie Dickerson and Safiatu Kolliegbo added 11 points each for Niagara.
 
The Purple Eagles' aggressive defense converted those 65 turnovers into 63 points.
 
Niagara pulled away in the third quarter, outscoring Roberts Wesleyan 29-12 behind a strong defensive effort that included 12 steals in the period. The Purple Eagles led by as many as 46 points in the fourth quarter.
 
Lauren McCrea led Roberts Wesleyan with 12 points in the losing effort.
 
The Purple Eagles dominated inside, outscoring Roberts Wesleyan 46-10 in the paint while converting 27 fast break points. Amelia Strong grabbed a game-high 8 rebounds for Niagara.
