MOON TOWNSHIP, PA. - Seven different Purple Eagles found the back of the net in a historic offensive showing as Niagara defeated Robert Morris 7-3 on Friday night at Clearview Arena to open Atlantic Hockey America play.

How it Happened
Nathan Oickle opened the scoring with an unassisted goal at 7:33 of the first period, marking the first of what would become a program first for Niagara (2-2-1, 1-0-0) with seven different goal scorers in a single game.

The Purple Eagles broke the game open in the second period with four goals, including power-play tallies from
Trevor Hoskin and
Tyler Wallace.
Ethan Lund and
Noah Hackett also scored in the middle frame as Niagara built a 5-1 lead.

After Robert Morris (2-1-0, 0-1-0) cut the deficit to 5-3 midway through the third period,
Jay Ahearn and
Spencer Young sealed the victory with late goals for the Purple Eagles.

Pierce Charleson was solid in net for Niagara, making 32 saves to earn the win.

Shane Ott,
Braden Doyle, and
Drew Vieten each recorded two assists for the Purple Eagles, who converted on 2-of-2 power play opportunities in the victory.
