Men's Basketball Announces Non-Conference Schedule

NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. – Niagara men's basketball head coach Greg Paulus has announced the teams' non-conference opponents for the 2022-23 season.

Prior to the official start of the season, the Purple Eagles will host Roberts Wesleyan for an exhibition game on Tuesday, Nov. 1 in the Gallagher Center.

Niagara officially opens the 2022-23 season at Maryland on Monday, Nov. 7. It will be NU's third all-time meeting with the Terps and first meeting since 2013.

On Saturday, Nov, 12, the Purple Eagles head to Pennsylvania to take on the Bucknell Bison.

Niagara will compete in the MAAC/ASUN Dublin Basketball Challenge in Dublin, Ireland Nov. 18-19. The Purple Eagles will matchup with Stetson and Central Arkansas. It will be NU's first all-time meeting with Central Arkansas and only the second time the Purple Eagles have played Stetson; NU and the Hatters last matched up during the 1981-82 season.

The Purple Eagles open their home schedule on Wednesday, Nov. 23 when they welcome Division II D'Youville to the Gallagher Center.

Niagara and St. John's renew their rivalry with a game at Carnesecca Arena on Saturday, Nov. 26. It will be Niagara's first meeting with the Red Storm since 2015 and 101st all-time meeting; the Purple Eagles and the Red Storm first met during the 1908-09 season.

Niagara returns to the Gallagher Center to host Eastern Michigan on Sunday, Dec. 11.

The Purple Eagles play their final road non-conference game at NJIT on Sunday, Dec. 18. It will be the first all-time meeting between Niagara and the Highlanders.

Niagara wraps up its non-conference schedule at home on Wednesday, Dec. 1 when the Purple Eagles face the Binghamton Bearcats.
