Women's Golf Begins Fall Season At Roseann Schwartz Invitational

NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. – The Niagara women's golf team opens the fall season at the Roseann Schwartz Invitational, hosted by Youngstown State, Sept. 13-14.

Tournament Notes

The tournament will be held at Mill Creek Golf Course (North Course) in Boardman, Ohio. It is a 6,088-yard par 72.
The teams will play 36 holes, with one round on each day.
The other teams competing, in addition to Niagara and Youngstown State, are: Akron, Bucknell, Chicago State, Cleveland State, Dayton, Detroit Mercy, Evansville, Mount St. Mary's, Saint Francis, Walsh and Western Michigan.

Niagara Notes

Former Niagara women's golfer Selena Borek (Cerra) was named the new head coach of the program. She was a member of the Purple Eagles' squad from 2013-17.
Niagara placed eighth in the 2021 MAAC Championships.
Susan Leone placed second in a dual match with Le Moyne, carding an 87 (+15). Isabel Mabry placed third after shooting 90 (+18).
The Purple Eagles return eight players from last year's squad (Leone, Mabry, Kassidy Aiken, Hannah Cassidy, Hanna Dombroski, Alea Griffith, Eve Quinn and Andrea Saenz) and welcome three newcomers (Marina Heister, Maddy Lancaster and Sriya Machiraju).
