NIAGARA UNIV., NY - The Niagara University women's soccer program heads to Ithaca, N.Y., to take on Cornell Thursday afternoon at 5 p.m. at Berman Field. The match will be broadcasted live on ESPN+.
Series Notes
• Thursday's match will mark the sixth all-time meeting between the Purple Eagles and Big Red. Niagara holds a 3-2 advantage in the series.
• The last time the two teams met was in 2012, a 2-1 win for Niagara.
• The Purple Eagles have scored a total of eight goals against Cornell, averaging 1.6 per game.
Last Time Out
• Niagara's home opener against Saint Francis (Pa.) was deemed a no contest due to weather in the area.
• Prior to that, the Purple Eagles won a midweek contest against Syracuse by a final score of 4-2.

Florence Vaillancourt recorded her first career hat trick against the Orange to lead the team to its first win of 2021.

• Vaillancourt leads the team with four goals and eight points. The junior's four tallies through two games is the most in program history since Brittany Bisnott scored three goals in the team's first two contests in 2006.

Emma Davies has yet to find the back of the net. However, the transfer leads the team with three assists, including two against Buffalo in the season opener.

Annie Ibey recorded her first point of the season in the win over Syracuse, as she found Vaillancourt with a cross on Niagara's first goal of the game.
• Niagara has seven players with at least one point through the team's first two games.

Felicia Grufman have split time in net thus far, recording four and six saves, respectively.
