GAME 1: Niagara (0-0-0) at Buffalo (0-1-0)
NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, NY – Niagara will open the 2021 season with a Sunday night tilt at Big 4 rival Buffalo. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at UB Stadium, and the match will be streamed live on the Bulls YouTube page.
Series Notes
• Sunday will mark the first meeting between UB and Niagara since Sept. 15, 2019, a 1-0 victory for the Bulls.
• The last Purple Eagle win over Buffalo came during the 2013 season, by a final score of 2-1.

• The Purple Eagles return 19 letter winners from a year ago, including goal-scorers

Annie Ibey,
Molly Tobin and
Emma Bough.
• Thaim led all scorers last spring with two goals, both of which came during a 6-3 win over rival Canisius.
• Goalkeeper
Clara Bornet made four starts for the Purple and White as a sophomore, recording 22 saves, while allowing just five goals. The Paris, France, native recorded a clean sheet in her Purple Eagle debut, leading Niagara to a 1-0 over the Golden Griffins.
• Niagara was selected to finish the season 7th overall in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll.
