WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. – The Niagara Purple Eagles had their season come to an end by the four-time defending MAAC champions Monmouth Hawks for the fourth straight season in a 1-0 defeat in the quarterfinals on Friday.

Kelsey Araujo forced a save in the 11
th minute and
Emma Bough's effort in the 39
th minute was Niagara's best scoring chance as her quick strike outside of the box was saved.
The Hawks kept possession in the Niagara's defensive end for the majority of the second half and eventually scored the winner in the 69
th minute. Sarina Jones received a pass from a throw-in and her pass found Lauren Karabin in the box who turned and shot to beat the keeper in the upper-90.

- Clara Bornet made a career-high 11 saves.
- Kelsey Araujo registered a shot on goal. She entered the game leading the MAAC and ranking seventh in the nation in shots per game.
