NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, NY – The Purple Eagles head to Philadelphia, Pa., for a non-conference matchup with La Salle on Saturday, Nov. 20. The meeting between Niagara and La Salle is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. tip from Tom Gola Arena at Trumark Financial Center.
Last Time Out:
• Niagara picked up its second win of the young season on Wednesday night, defeating Colgate 74-65.

Aaliyah Parker led NU with 19 points and 10 rebounds, while
Angel Parker,
Sydney Faulcon, and
Lore Porter each added 11 points in the win.
• Porter scored all 11 points in the third quarter, going 4-for-6 from the floor, including 3-for-4 from 3-point land.
•
Kyra Grimshaw recorded a career-high nine points in the win, surpassing her previous career-best of eight points that she set at Michigan State last Sunday.
• As a team, Niagara shot 37.1 percent from the field, including 33.3 percent from three. The Purple Eagles finished with a 66.7 percent mark from the charity stripe.
• Niagara's reserves scored a season-best 39 points, with Parker and Porter combining for 30 off the pine.
• The Purple Eagles out-rebounded Colgate, 47-30, with 23 coming on the offensive end and resulting in 18 second-chance points.
• NU also scored 28 points in the paint and 23 points off turnovers.
Niagara Notes
• Aaliyah was named MAAC Rookie of the Week on Monday, Nov. 15, after averaging 13.0 points, 8.7 rebounds, 3.3 steals and 24.2 minutes in her first three games as a Purple Eagle.
• The freshman recorded her second double-double against Colgate, finishing with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Her first double-double came on Nov. 12 at Oakland, where she finished with 18 points and 13 boards.
• The younger of the two Parker sisters leads Niagara with 14.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per game.
• Angel is second on the team with 11.8 points per game while leading the Purple and White with 5.3 assists and 3.3 steals per game.
• Senior
Ally Haar is third on the team with 10.8 points per game. The guard scored a game-high 22 points in the season opener against Loyola Maryland.
• As a team, Niagara is shooting 38.2 percent from the field this season, leading to an average of 71.0 points per game.
• The Purple Eagles are out-rebounding their opponents through three games, 38.3 to 34.8.
• After Parker's team-best 9.0 boards per contest,
Olivia Mason and
Maddy Yelle are tied for second on the squad with 5.0 caroms per game.
• Niagara made a season-high 21 free throws against Colgate while also setting season-highs in free throw attempts (31) and rebounds (47).
• Through four games, the Purple and White are second in the MAAC with 12.0 steals per game, trailing only Saint Peter's
(13.0/per game).
Series History
• La Salle is a perfect 8-0 against Niagara in a series that dates back to 1987.
• Saturday will be the first meeting between the Purple Eagles and Explorers since 1996.
