Volleyball Faces Canisius In MAAC Quarterfinals

The No. 5 Purple Eagles (13-14, 10-8 MAAC) face the No. 4 Canisius Golden Girffins (10-17, 10-8 MAAC) in the quarterfinals of the MAAC Championships on Friday, Nov. 19 at 2:00 p.m.

All-MAAC Honors

Amanda Darling was named the MAAC Libero of the Year for the second straight season.
Jaycie Roberts was selected to the All-MAAC First Team
Darling and Mary Redl were All-MAAC Second Team selections.
Laryssa Imbuzeiro and Kelly McArthur were named to the MAAC All-Rookie Team.

Niagara Notes

Darling averages 5.43 digs per set, which leads the conference and is seventh in the NCAA. Darling has also recorded 15 aces this season.
Roberts has a team-high 19 doubles-doubles this season. She averages a team-best 3.81 kills per set and is also adding 3.95 digs per set. She is fifth in the MAAC in kills and sixth in digs. She leads the Purple Eagles in aces with 28.
Jessia Streuer leads the Purple Eagles in assists with 5.15 per set. She has recorded 10 double-doubles this season.
Redl has recorded 10 double-doubles this season. She had a season-high 20 kills at Saint Peter's on Nov. 13 and a season-high 20 digs versus Iona on Oct. 30. She is averaging 3.05 kills per set and 1.99 digs per set. She is sixth in the conference in kills. Redl has also added 56 total blocks (six solo, 50 assists) for the Purple Eagles.
Imbuzeiro has recorded a team-best 79 total blocks (10 solo, 69 assists) this season and is second on the team in aces with 24.
McArthur is averaging 3.56 assists per set for Niagara. She has also added 20 total blocks (two solo, 18 assists).
Taylor Allen has added 78 total blocks (13 solo, 65 assists) for the Purple Eagles.
