  • Niagara turned a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 lead in the top of the fourth inning. Jerri Ann Orfano doubled down the left field line and had Bella Garone run in her stead. A Kendall Watkins single and a Maria Gabriele sac fly brought Garone in before Watkins came home via a Jennifer Timm single.
  • The Purple Eagles exploded for four runs in the top of the sixth, which began with Orfano walking from the leadoff position. A wild pitch and passed ball moved her to third, and error by the shortstop brought her home. After a pitching change, Jenna Patterson was plunked and took second on a wild pitch while Morgan Genovese, who was pinch running for Gabriele. A sac fly, single, wild pitch and passed ball continued to cycle Niagara runners around before the at-bat ended with the Purple Eagles up, 6-1.
  • Niagara batters combined for five hits and seven walks compared to just three strikeouts. Watkins' three turns on base (two hits, one walk) were the most for the squad.
  • Karsen Cotton went 5.0 full frames in the circle as the starter, allowing just one run on four hits and a walk to go along with four strikeouts. Sierra Bertrand closed the game in 0.2 innings.
