EASTON, Pa. – Niagara's top three singles lifted the Purple Eagles to a 4-3 win over the Lafayette Leopards on Saturday.  
 
Match Summary

• The Purple Eagles won the last two singles matches to pull out a 4-3 win.
• After falling in two doubles, Niagara won in one and three doubles to earn the point.
• Chhinda Som and Megan Gamble defeated Cecelia Lesnick and Grace Conrad, 6-4, in one doubles.
• Shannon Wong and Olga Donchu clipped Alexa Cooke and Meredith Bock, 7-6 (7), in three doubles to win the point.
• Andrea Peteu won in straight sets at three singles to give NU a 2-1 lead.
• However, Lafayette won in six and five singles to take a 3-2 lead.
• Som rallied to win the second and third sets to tie the match at 3-3.
• Donchu also won a three-set match, 6-4, 2-6, 6-4, in two singles to clinch the match.

 
Purple Points

• Olga Donchu won her team-leading ninth match in singles and third straight. She is the only Purple Eagle with a winning record.
• The doubles tandem of Chhinda Som and Megan Gabmle improved to 6-5 in No. 1 doubles.
