FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Olga Donchu improved to 3-0 in singles as the Purple Eagles were defeated by the Fairfield Stags, 5-2, on Saturday.   
 
Match Summary
  • Niagara trailed 1-0 after falling in one and three doubles.
  • The Purple Eagles picked up wins in two and three singles, but those matches were concluded after the Stags clinched the match.
  • In two singles, Donchu edged Diana Prinos, 7-6 (5), 3-6, 10-3.
  • Andreea Peteu beat Aina March, 6-4, 4-6, 10-5.

  • Olga Donchu won her team-leading 10th match in singles and fourth straight. She is the only Purple Eagle with a winning record.
  • Andreea Peteu improved to 3-1 in MAAC matches.
