Purple Eagles In Sixth Place After First Round Of MAAC Championships

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – The Purple Eagles sit in sixth place after the first round of the MAAC Championships on Thursday. The team carded a total score of 330 (+42).

Sydney Shaw fired a 79 (+7) on the first 18 holes to lead the Purple Eagles. She is tied for 13th place.

Susan Leone, who recorded the first birdie of all competitors in the first round, is tied for 17th place after carding an 80 (+8).

Sarah Godfrey shot 81 (+9) and is tied for 20th place and Daniella Hopper shot 90 (+18) and is tied for 37th place.

Samantha Bernardo rounded out the Niagara group, carding a 93 (+21) to finish the day in 41st place.

The second round of the MAAC Championships will take place on Friday, April 19.
