FAIRFIELD, Conn. –
Jaycie Roberts and
Caroline Leitch both earned all-conference honors, announced on Thursday. Roberts was named to the All-MAAC First Team and Leitch was named to the All-MAAC Second Team for the second straight season.
Roberts leads Niagara with 18 double-doubles on the season and is averaging a team-high 4.18 digs per set and leads the Purple Eagles in service aces with 27. She is second on the team in kills with 2.86 per set. Roberts is seventh in the MAAC in both digs and kills.
Leitch leads the Purple Eagles in kills, averaging 2.97 kills per set, which is the fifth-most in the MAAC. Leitch recorded her 1,000
th career kill against Quinnipiac on Nov. 16. She had a career-high 26 kills in that match and is 6
th in Niagara volleyball history with 1,029 career kills. Leitch has recorded 10 double-doubles on the season.
The MAAC also announced the All-Academic Team. Seven Purple Eagles were named to the All-Academic Team;

Cameron Maris,
Mary Redl,
Jaycie Roberts,
Jessica Streuer,
Hallie Uhlig and
Emillie Wright.
To qualify for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must have completed two semesters at their institution and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher.
The No. 5 Purple Eagles face the No. 4 Marist Red Foxes in the first round of the MAAC Championships on Friday, Nov. 22 at 8:00 p.m.
