Emillie Wright both earned MAAC weekly honors. Roberts was named the Player of the Week and Wright was named Libero of the Week.
Roberts and Wright helped the Purple Eagles to two wins last weekend; a 3-1 victory over the Rider Broncs and 3-0 sweep of the Saint Peter's Peacocks.
Roberts recorded double-doubles in both matches and now has a team-high nine double-doubles on the season so far. Against Rider on Oct. 5, Roberts had a team-high 17 kills and also added 15 digs. Against the Peacocks on Oct. 6, Roberts recorded her sixth straight double-double with 13 kills and 15 digs. She also had one service ace. On the weekend, she averaged 4.29 kills per set and 4.29 digs per set.
On the season, Roberts leads the Purple Eagles in kills, averaging 2.61 per set. She also leads the team in aces with 19.
Wright had a phenomenal weekend at libero for the Purple Eagles. Against the Broncs, Wright had a career-high 32 digs. She also had two service aces and four assists. Wright had 12 digs and one ace against Saint Peter's. She averaged 6.29 digs per set on the weekend.
Wright leads the Purple Eagles in digs, averaging 3.98 digs per set. She is seventh in the MAAC in digs.
Niagara is back in action this weekend, playing matches at Siena and Marist.
