EDISON, N.J. – Senior forward Marvin Prochet has been named MAAC Player of the Week for the second time this season announced on Monday.

Prochet notched his MAAC-leading fifth double-double of the season with a game-high 24 points and a team-high 10 rebounds to help Niagara defeat Cornell on Sunday for the Purple Eagles' third straight win. Prochet made five straight 3-pointers in the first half on his way to tying a career-high in 3-pointers with five.

Prochet became the 47th member of Niagara's 1,000-Point Club during the game. Prochet scored his 1,000th point on the first of two free throws with two minutes left in the game. He made the second free throws to bring Niagara within one point (70-69).

Niagara heads back on the road for a pair games starting on Wednesday, December 19 against Cleveland State at 7:30 p.m.
