- Belmont came out strong on offense in the first half, scoring in the eighth minute, the ninth minute, the 14th minute and the 28th minute to take a 4-0 lead over the Purple Eagles going into the second half of play.
- The Bruins extended their lead over Niagara in the second half, 6-0, scoring in the 50th and 73rd minutes.
- Krucko-Moeller scored the first goal of his collegiate career in the 86th minute of the game to put the Purple Eagles on the board, but the five-goal deficit was too much for NU to overcome late in the game.
