NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. – The Purple Eagles women's soccer team opens its home schedule against Little 3 rival St. Bonaventure on Friday, Aug. 25 at 7:00 p.m.
On the Field: Niagara Purple Eagles (0-1)
- The Purple Eagles opened the 2017 season on Friday, Aug. 18 at Michigan State. The Spartans defeated Niagara, 2-0.
- Kelsey Araujo led NU with three shots and two shots on goal and Eva Bachmann had two shots, both of which were on goal.
- Starting goalkeeper Shania van Nuland recorded two saves in the first period and Sabrina Locas (0-1), who made her collegiate debut, also had two saves.
Last Meeting with the Bonnies
- The Purple Eagles and the Bonnies last matched up on Sept. 4, 2016. St. Bonaventure defeated Niagara, 4-1.

- The Bonnies opened the season on Aug. 18 with a 2-1 loss at Binghamton, followed by a 1-0 defeat by Youngstown State on Aug. 21.
- Midfielder Marley Jarvis has scored the Bonnies' lone goal of the season so far.
- Forward Jessica Scruggs leads the team with four shots.
- Goalkeeper Lauren Malcolm (0-2) has recorded 15 saves and has played the full 90 minutes in both of St. Bonaventure's games.
