NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. – The Niagara University men's basketball program has added Greg Kuakumensah, a 6-foot-6 forward from Worcester, Massachusetts, to its incoming recruiting class.

Chris Casey said. "On the defensive end, he can guard multiple positions and on the offensive end, he can score in a variety of ways. He competes hard and is a very exciting addition to our roster."
Kuakumensah established himself as one of the most versatile players in New England while attending Cushing Academy located in Ashburnham, Mass., which competes in the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC). Cushing Academy has recently sent several student-athletes to NCAA Division I programs like Boston, Providence, Syracuse and Virginia Tech.
Kuakumensah was a highly-ranked prospect in New England in his two years at Cushing Academy. He was ranked in the top-20 of the Class of 2017 in Massachusetts each year, including being tabbed 11th this season. Kuakumensah was ranked as high as 39th among prospects in New England.
Kuakumensah helped the Cushing Academy Penguins to consecutive NEPSAC Class AA Finals, including winning the championship in 2017. Kuakumensah was a two-time selection to the NEPSAC All-New England Class AA Honorable Mention and was named MVP of the HoopHall Classic played on Jan. 16, 2017 in Springfield, Mass. with 15 points and eight rebounds. Kuakumensah played AAU competition for Mass Rivals who went 21-0 to win the 2016 adidas Uprising Summer U17 Championship. Prior to Cushing, Kuakumensah was enrolled at Worcester Academy (MA) and St. Peter-Marian High School (MA).
Kuakumensah received scholarship offers from Brown, Canisius, Drexel, Florida International and Tennessee Tech, and had interest from Buffalo, Columbia, Fairfield, Fordham, Hofstra, Kennesaw State, Milwaukee, Tennessee-Chattanooga and Wofford.
