Women's Basketball Takes On Colgate

Beating The Bulls

  • In their last time out, the Purple Eagles defeated Big 4 rival Buffalo, 75-62, for the first time since 2004. Niagara snapped the Bulls' 12-game series win streak and took the advantage in the all-time series, 19-18.

  • Victoria Rampado led the Purple Eagles with 27 points, tying her career-high.

  • Maggie McIntyre had a career-high eight rebounds and Jamie Sherburne had seven assists to tie her career-high.

     

    South Point Shootout

  • The Purple Eagles competed in the South Point Thanksgiving Shootout from Nov. 25-26 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

  • The South Point Shootout was the first in-season tournament Niagara had competed in since the 2011-12 season when the team competed in the Winthrop Classic in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

  • The Purple Eagles fell to Louisiana, 68-52, in their first game of the tournament. Victoria Rampado led the team with 19 points and 13 rebounds, recording her second double-double of the season.

  • Niagara picked up its first win of the season on Nov. 26, defeating Louisiana Tech, 73-67. Rampado led the team in scoring with 27 points to tie her career-high and also had a team-high six rebounds.

  • Rampado was named to the South Point Shootout All-Tournament Team at the conclusion of the tournament.
     

    On The Court

Colgate Raiders (4-6, 0-0 Patriot League)

  • Forward Summer King leads the Raiders in scoring, averaging 10.7 points per game. She also leads the team in rebounding and averages 8.7 rebounds per game. King also averages a team-best 1.2 blocks per game.

  • Guard Rachel Thompson is second on the team in scoring with 9.8 points per game and guard Nia Ahart leads the Raiders in assists with 2.2 assists per game.

  •  Colgate has taken on two of Niagara's MAAC foes. The Raiders opened the season with a 70-63 victory over the Purple Eagles' crosstown rival, Canisius. The Raiders fell to Siena, 73-70, in overtime on Nov. 29.
