LAS VEGAS, Nv. – The Purple Eagles fell to Louisiana-Lafayette, 68-52, in their first game of the South Point Thanksgiving Shootout on Saturday.

Game Recap
- The Purple Eagles went on a 6-2 run to open the game, with four points from Bryant and two from Rampado. A 3-pointer from Maggie McIntyre put NU up, 9-5, with a little over five and a half minutes remaining in the first quarter. The Purple Eagles led 13-12 going into the second quarter.
- The Ragin' Cajuns took the lead early in the second quarter, but seven more points from Bryant helped keep things close, and put NU down by only four points, 30-26, going into the second half.
- Rampado added nine points for the Purple Eagles in the third quarter, but the Cajuns maintained their lead and were ahead, 51-42, heading into the fourth quarter.
- Rampado added another six points in the final quarter, but it was not enough to overcome the Cajuns' lead and they came away with the 68-52 victory.
Inside the Numbers
- Rampado recorded her second double-double of the season, leading the Purple Eagles with 19 points and 13 rebounds.
- Bryant was second in scoring with 15 points, which is her career-high. Bryant also led the team with a career-high four assists.
- Bryant, Kaylee Stroemple and Maggie McIntyre had a team-best two steals each.
