Double Trouble
- Forwards Victoria Rampado and Kaylee Stroemple both recorded double-doubles in the Purple Eagles' season opener against St. Bonaventure. Rampado had 12 points and a career-high 15 rebounds, while Stroemple scored 11 points and brought down 11 rebounds.

Maryland Terrapins (1-1, 0-0 Big Ten)
- Guard Kaila Charles leads the Terps in scoring, averaging 22.0 points per game and forward Stephanie Jones leads the team in rebounding with 10.5 rebounds per game.
- Guards Blair Watson and Kristen Confroy and forward Brianna Fraser also average double-figure points. Watson averages 15.0 points per game and Confroy and Fraser average 10.5 points per game.
- Maryland won the Big Ten Tournament championship for the third straight season in 2016-17. The Terps advanced to the NCAA Tournament Sweet Sixteen, where they fell to Oregon.

Rampado, Stroemple Earn Preseason Honors
- Forwards Victoria Rampado and Kaylee Stroemple both earned Preseason All-MAAC honors.
- Rampado was named to the Preseason All-MAAC First Team for the second stright season. Her 16.8 points per game in 2016-17 led the MAAC and she was fourth in rebounding with 7.9 rebounds per game. She also finished third in the conference in free throw percentage, making 122 of 153 attempts for a percentage of .797.
- Stroemple was selected to the Preseason All-MAAC Third Team for the second straight season. Stroemple was second in the MAAC in field goal percentage (.512), 11th in scoring (13.0 ppg) and 13th in rebounding (6.0 rpg).
