Last Time Out
  • The Purple Eagles fell to Little 3 rival St. Bonaventure, 76-58, in their season opener on Friday, Nov. 10.
  • Victoria Rampado led NU with 12 points and 15 rebounds. Kaylee Stroemple led the team in assists with four and was second in points and rebounds with 11 of each.
  • Maggie McIntyre recorded nine points, hitting three 3-pointers in the first quarter for the highest scoring quarter of her career.
 
Double Trouble
  • Forwards Victoria Rampado and Kaylee Stroemple both recorded double-doubles in the Purple Eagles' season opener against St. Bonaventure. Rampado had 12 points and a career-high 15 rebounds, while Stroemple scored 11 points and brought down 11 rebounds.
 
On The Court
Saint Joseph's Hawks (0-0, 0-0 Atlantic 10)
  • The Hawks return 11 letterwinners, including four starters, from last year's team which went 17-15 overall, 12-4 in the Atlantic 10 and earned a berth to the WNIT.
  • Senior guard/forward Chelsea Woods led the Hawks in scoring in 2016-17, averaging 14.0 points per game. She also brought down 7.1 rebounds per game.
  • Senior forward Adashia Franklyn led the team in rebounding with 7.9 rebounds per game and was second in scoring with 12.3 points per game.
  • Saint Joseph's was tabbed to finish third in the Atlantic 10's preseason coaches' poll.
 
Against Saint Joseph's
  • This will be the first meeting between the Purple Eagles and the Hawks.
  • Niagara head coach Jada Pierce and Saint Joseph's head coach Cindy Griffin will reunite on Sunday for the first time. Pierce served as an assistant coach at Saint Joe's under Griffin from 2012-15.
