OLEAN, N.Y. – The Purple Eagles baseball team defeated Little 3 rival St. Bonaventure, 4-3, in game one of a doubleheader on Tuesday. The second game ended in a 1-1 tie.

"I thought we played great today," said head coach Rob McCoy. "We executed competitive pitches all day and played fantastic defense. Although we didn't generate many runs, we had a lot of quality at bats against some of their best arms. Today was the first time we could really see the process based results of our hard work on the mental side of the game. When we play pitch to pitch, we are tough, very tough."
