After ending a seven-game losing streak, the Niagara Purple Eagles are in search of their second straight win when they host the Manhattan Jaspers on Saturday, January 9 at 3 p.m.

Tipoff Tidbits
•  The Purple Eagles got back into the win column with a 63-61 win over the Saint Peter's Peacocks on Jan. 7 in their first home game of 2016.
•  Justin Satchell finished with a career-high 22 points on 10 of 12 shooting from the field while also grabbing six rebounds. Emile Blackman scored 14 points, including going 6-for-6 at the free-throw line, and Matt Scott added 10 points.
•  The Purple Eagles tied a season-high in assists with 17 while having a season-low 10 turnovers in the win over Saint Peter's.
•  Cameron Fowler had a career-high eight assists while committing zero turnovers against Saint Peter's, surpassing his previous career-high of seven against Brown. Niagara won both games.
•  Through five league games, Cameron Fowler is tied for second in assist-to-turnover ratio (3.0).  
•  NU is 4-1 when making more free throws than its opponents (Brown, North Carolina A&T, Saint Peter's) with the lone defeat to St. Bonaventure.

•  Matt Scott leads the Purple Eagles in rebounds (98-6.1 per game), assists (46-2.9 per game), steals (23-1.4 per game) and free throws made (62-3.9 per game).
•  The Purple Eagles are in search of consecutive wins for the first time since ending the 2014-15 regular season winning four straight, and in search of consecutive home MAAC wins for the first time since January 2013.
 
Satchell Awakens
•  After going scoreless in four straight games and playing a total of 17 minutes, Justin Satchell erupted with a career-high 22 points in 24 minutes to lead all scorers against Saint Peter's on January 7.
•  Satchell previous career-high was 20 points against the State College of Florida in January 2015 while he was a member of NJCAA's St. Petersburg College. His previous season-high was 17 points against Brown.
•  He shot 83.3 percent (10-for-12) from the field which is the highest by a MAAC player this season, passing teammate Dominic Robb who shot 81.8 percent at Albany.
•  His 10 field goals are the most since Emile Blackman's 10 at Rider on February 21, 2015.
 
On The Court
Manhattan Jaspers (6-8, 3-2 MAAC)
•  Manhattan is 6-8 on the season and has won five of its last six games, including three straight MAAC games, entering Saturday's contest.
•  Four Jaspers are averaging in double figures led by Shane Richards (18.8), who scored a career-high 32 points in Manhattan's win over Canisius on January 7, Rich Williams (16.8 ppg), Zane Waterman (10.6 ppg) and Calvin Crawford (10.4 ppg).
•  Manhattan leads the MAAC in steals per game (7.8).
 
Against the Jaspers (Manhattan leads 48-31)
•  Niagara trails in the all-time series, but has won 14 of the last 21 meetings.
•  The Purple Eagles are 7-2 in their last nine home meetings versus Manhattan.
•  Niagara and Manhattan split last season's series with each team protecting home court.
