Live Stats The Purple Eagles head to the Bronx to participate in the Rose Hill Classic hosted by Fordham University on Friday and Saturday. Niagara opens the classic against the host on Friday at 1 p.m. and will play Robert Morris at 4:30 p.m. NU closes the classic versus Georgetown on Saturday at 10:30 a.m.
All-Tournament Accolades For Hunt- Sophomore libero Rylee Hunt was named to the Holiday Inn Classic All-Tournament team as Niagara opened the season going 1-2.
- Hunt averaged 5.25 digs per set, 1.5 assists per set and had a .986 reception percentage while starting in all 12 sets. Hunt led or shared the lead in digs in every match, beginning with a match-high 17 digs against the host Wright State on Friday night.
- The next day, Hunt had a double-double against Evansville with 20 assists and 24 digs, which were tied for a match-high. Hunt led the match in digs in the four-set win over Tennessee Tech with 22.
- Hunt leads the MAAC in digs per set (5.25).
Purple Over Gold- Niagara picked up its first win of the season with a four-set win over the Tennessee Tech Godlen Eagles in the last match of the Holiday Inn Classic hosted by Wright State on Aug. 29.
- Melissa McGwin led the way with a team-high 14 kills along with a match-best .333 hitting percentage.
- Alexis Gray notched her third straight double-double with 28 assists and 13 digs.
Across The Net: Fordham Rams (0-3)- The series is tied at 2-2 with the last meeting occurring in Sept. 2007.
- Fordham dropped all three games at the FGCU Hilton Garden Inn/Homewood Suites Classic last weekend.
- Leaders: kills per set – Breanna Jones (3.18), assists per set – Abigail Konovodoff (7.22), blocks per set – Olivia LaPorta (1.09)
Across The Net: Robert Morris Colonials (2-2)- The Purple Eagles lead the all-time series, 9-8.
- Robert Morris went 2-2 in its season-opening invitational last weekend.
- The Colonials picked up wins over UMBC and Loyola (Md.) in their own invitational
- Leaders: kills per set – Arden Fisher (4.31), assists per set – Liz Campbell (9.50), blocks per set – Leah Dunivan (1.12)
Across The Net: Georgetown Hoyas (1-2)- This will be the first meeting between the programs.
- Georgetown went 1-2 in its season-opening invitational last weekend.
- The Hoyas defeated Howard in five sets in their final match of the D.C. Challenge on Aug. 29.
