Volleyball Returns Home To Host Rider, Saint Peter’s

After six-straight matches on the road, the Purple Eagles are back at the Gallagher Center this weekend to face Rider (Saturday) and Saint Peter's (Sunday) with both matches starting at 1 p.m.

·         After winning three of four matches, the Purple Eagles (4-9, 0-2 MAAC) are on a five-match skid.
·         Niagara opened its MAAC schedule falling in five sets at Siena on Sept. 20 and in straight sets to Marist on Sept. 21.
·         Alexis Gray's 54 assists at Colgate are the most by a MAAC player this season.
·         Allison Reis' 35 digs at Colgate are the most by a MAAC player this season.
·         Alex Stone's nine total blocks (4-5) versus Gardner-Webb ranks second most by a MAAC player this season.
·         Nicole Matheis has the fourth and fifth most kills among MAAC players - 22 (Colgate), 21 (Providence)
·         Niagara had 16 aces at Delaware State which is a MAAC-high.
·         NU's 61 assists at Colgate are the most by a MAAC team.
·         Niagara's .295 hitting percentage in the four-set win over Providence ranks second in the MAAC for percentage in four-set matches.
·         Gray is second in the MAAC in assists with 8.94 per set.
·         Niagara is fifth in the MAAC in hitting percentage, fourth in kills, and third in assists.

·         Niagara holds a commanding 18-8 lead in the all-time series with Rider.
·         After sweeping the season series the previous four seasons, the Purple Eagles were swept last season.
