Postgame Infographic DAVIDSON, N. C. – Three Purple Eagles were in double-figures as Niagara fell to the Davidson Wildcats, 78-58, on Saturday night.
Ramone Snowden led the Purple Eagles (1-6) with 14 points and was perfect at the line with a game-high seven free throws. Snowden tied team-highs in rebounds with five, assists with three and steals with two.
Wesley Myers added 12 points and
Emile Blackman contributed 11 points and shared team-high honors in rebounds with five.
Niagara, which defeated Davidson last season, found itself trailing 22-6 after 10 minutes. The Wildcats (8-1) scored the first eight points as NU didn't get on the scoreboard until the 14:18 mark on a layup by
Dominique Reid. The Wildcats would go into halftime leading 40-22.
Trailing 51-29 with 12 minutes remaining, the Purple Eagles climbed back into the game with an 11-1 run over the next three minutes to trim the deficit to 52-40. A pair of free throws by Snowden started the run and it was capped by a 3-pointer by Myers, who scored seven points during the run. However, the Wildcats answered with a 14-3 to pull away for their sixth straight win and 12th consecutive win at the Belk Arena.

Chris Casey said. "That means working hard every day and continuing to work toward making open shots."
Niagara will play at Big 4 foe Buffalo on Friday, Dec. 19 at 7 p.m. on ESPN3.
