Live VideoThe Niagara volleyball team will begin a season-long five-match homestand this weekend when it hosts the Quinnipiac Bobcats on Saturday, Oct. 18 at 1:00 p.m. and the Fairfield Stags on Sunday, Oct. 19 at 1:00 p.m.
Purple Points·         With the sweep of the Iona Gaels on Sunday, the Purple Eagles (7-11, 3-4 MAAC) have won three out of their last four matches.

Alex Stone led the team with a season-best 14 kills.
·         Freshman 
Alexis Gray, who finished with 34 assists and 10 digs, now has six double-doubles on the year.
·         After winning just four matches last year, a win against either Quinnipiac or Fairfield will double last season's total.

·         Gray is currently third in the MAAC with 9.13 assists per set.
·         Stone leads the conference with 82 total blocks with an average of 1.17 per set.
·         Gray's 54 assists at Colgate is good for third most in by a conference player on the year. The San Clemente, Calif. native also finished with 52 assists at Canisius; sixth best by a MAAC competitor.
·         Senior 
Allison Reis finished with 35 digs at Colgate, which gives her the third most by a MAAC player this season.
·         Freshmen 
Nicole Matheis and 
Rylee Hunt both lead the MAAC with six aces in a match; tops by any MAAC player on the year.
