Purple Eagles 101
Niagara took part in the USF Tournament in Tampa last weekend, coming out with a 3-2 loss to Jacksonville University before being blanked by University of South Florida, 3-0.

The Purple Eagle offense is led by Haillie Price who has secured five points in four games (2-1-5).  Breanna Catipovic is not far behind with four points off a pair of tallies scored against USF.  Hayley Besaw and Catherine Meyer have each contributed an assist so far this season.

Claire Feiertag and Olivia Wood have each seen time in goal for NU.  Feiertag has made 10 saves in two games for a .625 save percentage and a 2.38 goals-against average.  Wood has made nine saves in a pair of games, including a penalty kick stop against Jacksonville, owning a .692 save percentage and a 2.71 GAA.

Scouting Ohio University
Ohio will come to Niagara Field with a 1-2-1 mark, securing its first win of the season with a 5-1 triumph over Eastern Kentucky last Sunday.

The team has received offensive contributions from a number of Bobcats, including Carly Manso who leads the offense with four points (1-2-4).  Maggie Murnane has tallied a goal and an assist for three points, while four other Bobcats have pocketed a goal.

Goalkeeper Mattie Liston has played the majority of the minutes for Ohio for a 1.14 goals-against average and a .636 save percentage.

All-Time Against the Bobcats
Friday's contest will mark the second time the Purple Eagles and Bobcats have met on the field.  Last season Ohio snuck by with a 1-0 win over Niagara with a 58th minute tally.

Taking a Look at Binghamton
Binghamton will take to the field against Lafayette on Sept. 6 before welcoming Niagara to the Bearcats Sports Complex.  Before this weekend's play, the Bearcats have secured a pair of wins against Manhattan and Iona after being served a 2-1 defeat to Siena in the season's opening game.

Stephanie Church is tops on the team with three points off a goal and an assist, while Kaitlyn Martin and Michele Galvin have each pocketed a pair of points of a goal.

Carrie Martin will likely earn the nod in goal as the senior has earned two shutouts for a .889 save percentage and a 0.39 goals-against average.
All-Time Against the Bearcats
Binghamton holds a 5-1-0 lead over Niagara in the all-time series, coming away with a 1-0 victory over NU in last season's home opener.  It was a second half tally that secured the victory for the Bearcats.

Up Next For Niagara
The Purps will bring play back to Niagara Field next weekend in a non-conference matchup against Duquesne (Sept. 8) before taking a short trip to Buffalo, N.Y. to play Buffalo (Sept. 15).
