Volleyball Ventures To SEC-Country For Four Matches

The Niagara volleyball team continues its road trip with matches against Mississippi State and Wofford in the Bulldog Invitational on Friday and Saturday.

The Purple Eagles (0-6) head to Mississippi in search of their first win of the season. NU begins play in the Bulldog Invitational on Friday at 1:30 p.m. against the host, Mississippi State, followed by Wofford at 4:30 p.m. On Saturday, Niagara and Wofford will play at 4:30 p.m. and the Purple Eagles and Bulldogs will tangle at 7:30 p.m.

Twice As Nice
• Amanda Sedore was named to the Akron Invitational All-Tournament Team last weekend. It was the second straight week she has been placed on an all-tournament team.
• Sedore had double-digit kills in all three matches while averaging 3.56 kills per set and 2.22 digs per set.

Block Party
• Niagara is second in the MAAC averaging 1.8 blocks per set.
• The Purple Eagles are on paced for having their highest blocks per set since 2007 (2.1).
• Middle Blocker Melissa McGwin is second in the conference with 1.12 blocks per set.
