NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. – The Purple Eagles takes their three-game road trip to Tampa this weekend to participate in the USF Tournament. Niagara will play Jacksonville University on Friday, Aug. 30 at 4 p.m., and the host, University of South Florida, on Sunday, Sept. 2 at 1 p.m.

Niagara is looking for its first win of the 2013 campaign after dropping a pair of 2-1 contests against Youngstown State and Robert Morris during the season opening weekend.

Haillie Price has started the year where she left of last season, netting the team's only goals of the weekend, while sophomore

Sophomore goalkeeper
Claire Feiertag was in goals for the Purps for all 180 minutes of play, making eight saves for a 2.00 goals-against average and a .667 save percentage.
Scouting Jacksonville University
Jacksonville University split its pair of games last weekend, registering a 6-0 victory over Flagler before falling to Miami in overtime, 3-2.
Last season's leading scorer Kaitlyn Bassett has already netted a pair of goals to lead the team, while six other Dolphins have a goal in their pocket.
Jill D'Amico and Sarah Sierra have split time in goal in the opening matches. D'Amico has a 1.83 goals-against average and a .600 save percentage, while Sierra holds a 0.99 goals-against average and a .750 save percentage.
Taking a Look at University of South Florida
The Bulls started the season with a 1-0-1 record, with their first win coming in a 7-0 victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff.
Junior forward Demi Stokes leads the team in points off two goals and two assists, while sophomore midfielder Olivia Chance is not far behind with five points (2-1-5). Four other Bulls have tallied a goal so far this season, including senior forward Sharla Passariello who also has an assist for three points.
Sophomore Christiane Endler will likely earn the nod in goal after being named American Athletic Conference Goalkeeper of the Week, recording eight saves in 110 minutes of play in the draw to Longhorns.
First Time for Everything
This will be the first time Niagara will take to the field against Jacksonville and USF.
Looking Ahead
Niagara will be welcoming Ohio University to Monteagle Ridge on Sept. 6 at 7 p.m. before heading back on the road to take on Binghamton University on Sept. 8 at 3 p.m.
