Niagara Concludes Road Schedule At Marist, Siena

The Niagara volleyball team will finish its road schedule this weekend with matches against Marist and Siena.

Purple Eagles Split MAAC Weekend
• Niagara went 1-1 during conference matches last weekend.
• NU defeated Iona in five sets on Saturday to earn its first five-set win of the season. The Purple Eagles fell in straight sets to conference-leading Manhattan on Sunday.

Sedore Named Player of the Week
• Junior outside hitter Amanda Sedore was named MAAC Volleyball Player of the Week on Nov. 5. The honor is the first for Sedore and is the first weekly award by a Purple Eagle this season.
• Sedore led Niagara in kills per sets with 4.62, points per set with 5.12 and had 3.25 digs per set as Niagara split its conference weekend matches against Iona and Manhattan.
• Sedore's match-high 26 kills against Manhattan are the most by a Purple Eagle since 2011. Sedore also tied a career-high in digs with 17 en route to her sixth double-double of the season. Sedore led NU with 11 kills against Manhattan the next day to reach double-digit kills for the sixth straight match and 14th time this season.

Reis Reaches 1,000 Digs
• Junior libero Allison Reis' match-high 23 digs against Manhattan helped her to eclipsed the 1,000-dig plateau.
• Reis, who leads the team in digs, had 23 digs to help account for a team season-high of 85 digs in the match.

Across the Net: Marist Red Foxes (16-8, 10-4 MAAC)
• Marist is 4-2 in its last six matches (won three straight).
• Leaders: kills per set – Mackenzie Stephens - 3.10, assists per set – Audra Brady - 10.81, digs per set – Brooke Zywick - 4.92, blocks per set – Mackenzie Stephens - 0.91
• Niagara had its nine-match win streak in the series snapped in the first meeting this season.

Across the Net: Siena Saints (10-14, 9-5 MAAC)
• Siena is a on a four-match losing streak enter this weekend's matches.
• Leaders: kills per set – Taylor Akana 3.62, assists per set – Haley Howell 9.57, digs per set – Bobbi Lin Kalama 3.96, blocks per set – Jacqueline Skeen – 1.05
• The Purple Eagles will need to win Sunday's match to split the regular season series for the last five seasons.
