JERESEY CITY, N.J. – The Niagara volleyball team won its sixth straight match against the Saint Peter’s Peacocks with a sweep (25-19, 25-19, 25-18 ) on Sunday.
Ellen Senf and
Kari Honomichl tied a match-high with 15 kills; Honomichl added 14 digs for her third straight match with a double-double and seventh this season.
Amanda Wilken contributed with 11 kills and three block assist.
Michelle James led the match with 38 assists and was one dig shy for a double-double for the second straight match.
Niagara (7-9, 4-2 MAAC) held Saint Peter’s (1-18, 0-6 MAAC) to .083 attacking, including -.111 in the opening set. NU had a match-best 20 kills and .390 attacking percentage in the second set, while scoring six of the last seven points to close out the second set. NU used a 13-4 run in the third en route to winning the set 25-18 to win the match.
The Purple Eagles conclude their four-match road trip on Saturday when they play archrival Canisius at 2 p.m.
