The Niagara volleyball team welcomes the Siena Saints and Marist Red Foxes for their final home matches of the 2011 season.

This will be the final home weekend for four Purple Eagles as they look to extend their home winning streak to 17 and conference home win streak to 31 matches. The class of Hannah Hedrick, Sam Morgan, Lisa Bilich, Kathy Bibler and Michelle James are the winningest in program history with 74 wins entering this weekend while claiming two MAAC championships, including the program’s first in 2009, and two NCAA Tournament appearances.

Niagara (20-7, 14-0 MAAC) can clinch its second-ever regular season title this weekend with wins versus Marist (11-13, 8-6 MAAC) and Siena (10-13, 8-6 MAAC) or a loss by the second place Fairfield Stags. The Purple Eagles outlasted the Red Foxes in five sets in the first meeting this season on Oct. 8. The next day, Niagara defeated Siena, 3-1, for its first win at Siena since Nov. 2003.
