The Niagara volleyball team will visit the Saint Peter’s Peahens and Manhattan Jaspers this weekend in conference action.

The Purple Eagles enter this weekend matches with win streaks of 31 (conference) and 13 (overall) and extended their home winning streak to 17 matches with a five-set win against Iona last Sunday.

Several Purple Eagles were instrumental in wins last week against Canisius, Fairfield and Iona. Kari Honomichl and Hannah Hedrick recorded double-doubles in each match, Ellen Senf had a career-high 24 kills versus the Gaels and Sam Morgan extended her double-digit digs streak to 121 matches while earning her fourth MAAC Defensive Player of the Week honors. Morgan ranks fourth in the nation in digs per set (5.97) and holds a substantial lead in the MAAC in digs (531).

Niagara can clinch its second-ever regular season title this weekend if it tops Saint Peter’s (0-24, 0-11 MAAC) and Manhattan (14-10, 7-4 MAAC) and Fairfield drops both of its matches this weekend. The Purple Eagles swept the Jaspers and Peahens when they visited the Gallagher Center in the first weekend of October.
