NIAGARA UNIV., N.Y. - The Niagara volleyball team (3-16, 1-7 MAAC) dropped its MAAC match against Manhattan (5-12, 4-4 MAAC) on Sunday inside the Gallagher Center, 25-20, 25-14, 25-22.
"We are still having a hard time finding our rhythm at the mid-point of the season," Niagara head coach Susan Clements said. "We are going to keep focusing on communication, playing hard and being competitive for our upcoming matches."
Niagara committed 38 errors in the match, including 22 hitting errors. The Jaspers attacked at a .346 clip, while Niagara hit .094.
Hannah Hedrick (Cincinnati, Ohio) led the Purple Eagles with nine kills in 32 attempts. Kathy Bibler (Bowling Green, Ohio) added six kills with a .385 hitting percentage.
The Purple Eagles travel to Syracuse on Tuesday for a non-conference match against the Orange at 7 p.m.
