NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – The volleyball team (3-9, 1-2 MAAC) dropped its first road conference game, Saturday, at Iona (5-9, 3-0 MAAC), 30-21, 26-30, 35-33, 30-24.
Reigning MAAC Offensive Player of the Week Raelean Rush (Amherst, N.Y.) picked up where she left off last week by posting a game-high 26 kills. She recorded her third-straight double-double by recording 20 digs in the loss.
Senior Mallory Boron (Lockport, N.Y.) also recorded a double-double with 44 assists and 11 digs. The setter established a career-high seven blocks. Sophomore Kerri Heitner (Wantagh, N.Y.) established a career-high with six blocks, while junior Nicole Piette (Lockport, N.Y.) had 14 kills. 
Senior Maurin Lawrence (Corfu, N.Y.) chipped in with 10 kills and four service aces. 
The Purple Eagles continue their road trip with a contest at Fairfield.
