Women's Basketball Makes Final Homestand This Weekend

Kristina Walton

With just four games left in the regular season, the Niagara University women’s basketball team must make the most of its final homestand of the season when it hosts Saint Peter’s (10-14, 6-8) Friday at 7 p.m. and Manhattan College (8-17, 5-9) Sunday at 2 p.m. in the legendary Taps Gallagher Center.

Both games can be heard and seen live on Niagara’s Official athletic web site, PurpleEagles.com.

The Purple Eagles lost a heart-breaking game in their last outing, falling at Iona, 69-67, Feb. 11.

The Peahens enter the weekend on a three-game losing streak after being beaten, 59-56, by Seton Hall Tuesday.

The Lady Jaspers snapped a two-game losing steak with its win over Saint Peter’s.

Niagara trails in the Saint Peter’s series, 35-8, but leads the Manhattan series, 18-17.
