NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. -- A return to the win column is the goal this week as the Niagara University women’s basketball team (11-10, 3-7) has an opportunity to move up in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference standings when it hosts Siena College (5-15, 4-6) Thursday at 7 p.m. and Loyola College (12-8, 7-3) Saturday at 2 p.m.
The Purple Eagles lost their third consecutive road game Jan. 28, falling 80-59 at Marist.
Siena enters the game on a winning note after beating last-place Rider, 87-55, Monday.
Loyola had its five-game winning streak snapped Jan. 28, losing at Fairfield, 63-51.
Niagara trails both Siena (33-19) and Loyola (26-13) in the all-time series.
