NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. – The Niagara University women’s soccer team (3-3-0) returns to Monteagle Ridge Sunday for an 11:30 a.m. non-conference game against Little Three rival St. Bonaventure (1-5-1).
The Purple Eagles will be looking to rebound from a disappointing 1-0 double overtime loss at Robert Morris on Sept. 15. The Bonnies have one once in their last three games and take on St. Francis (Pa.) Friday before making the trip to Niagara.
Junior Brittany Bisnott (Brampton, Ont.) continues to lead the Purple Eagles’ explosive attack and the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. She has a team- and league-leading seven goals for 14 points. Senior Emily Montgomery (Oshawa, Ont.) has three goals and two assists and ranks fifth in goals and assists in the conference. Sophomore Stephanie Gartley (Sarnia, Ont.) has two goals and a team-best four assists to rank third in points and second in assists in the MAAC. 
Niagara is averaging 2.6 goals per game which is second in the league.
In net, freshman Sarah Stephens (Toledo, Ohio) has played all six games and has a 2.14 goals-against average and a .717 save percentage.
St. Bonaventure will be looking for its first road win of the season Sunday. The Bonnies are 0-4-1 away from home. They also are averaging just 0.9 goals per game overall while opponents are scoring 2.6 an outing. St. Bonaventure has also been out shot 70-18 in the first half this season.
Kerry O’Malley leads the team with three goals for six points. Kacey Weafer and Katelyn Shelofsky each have a goal and an assist.
In net, Lisa Eberhart has played all seven games and has a 2.43 goals-against average, .746 save percentage and 1-4-1 record.
The Bonnies are up 15-6-1 in the all-time series, but Niagara won last year’s outing, 3-1, in Olean.
