NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. -- The Niagara University women’s basketball team (3-20, 2-12) returns to the friendly confines of the legendary Taps Gallagher Center this weekend when it has rematches with Rider University (2-21, 1-13) and Saint Peter’s College (10-13, 6-8) Friday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m., respectively.
The Purple Eagles, who sport a 3-5 overall and 2-4 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference record in the Purple Palace, look to snap a five-game losing streak. On Monday, Niagara lost 70-64 at Iona College.
Rider will also be playing for a win after suffering its ninth consecutive loss on Feb. 12. The Broncs fell to Saint Peter’s, 81-65. The Peahens enters the weekend with a two-game winning streak after knocking off Niagara and Rider this past weekend.
