LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – The Niagara University volleyball team (4-23) ended its season Friday when it lost in five games 25-30, 30-28, 20-30, 30-17, 8-15 to Iona College (9-21) at the 2006 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Volleyball Championship at Walt Disney World.

Junior Raelean Rush (Amherst, N.Y./Sweet Home) had a match-high 26 kills, 18 digs and nine blocks. Classmate Maurin Lawrence (Corfu, N.Y.) had 11 kills and six blocks while Lindsay Kriger (Yorkton, Sask.) had 10 kills, three aces and a career-high 22 digs. Junior Sara Mancini (Lancaster, N.Y./Lancaster) dug a personal-best 30 attacks and senior Jessica Piscitelli (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) had 13 digs.
