NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. -- Two longtime rivals collide Tuesday when the Niagara University women’s basketball team (2-0) hosts Little Three rival St. Bonaventure (1-0) at 7 p.m. in the legendary Taps Gallagher Center.
The Purple Eagles enter the game on a modest two-game winning streak after beating Cleveland State, 84-83 in overtime Nov. 12.
St. Bonaventure won its season- and home-opener, 80-60, over Siena College Nov. 11 and has been idle since.
Tuesday’s meeting is the 51st meeting between the two teams.
