BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Niagara University volleyball team (4-21, 2-16) finished its regular season Saturday with a 30-28, 30-23, 30-10 loss to Canisius College (20-9, 15-3) at the Koessler Athletic Center.

Junior Raelean Rush (Amherst, N.Y./Sweet Home) lead the Purple Eagles with a team-high 13 kills. Classmate Sara Mancini (Lancaster, N.Y./Lancaster) had a team- and match-high 15 digs.

Niagara returns to action next weekend when it travels to Lake Buena Vista, Fla., for the 2006 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Volleyball Championship.
